If you still have questions, I have answers!

...

Q1. What's the first step in getting started?

Once you get in touch with me, I'll reach out and have you book a time for a free consultation call. Usually these are about 30 minutes and we'll get to know one another a little better to see if we're a good match for your project.

I'll ask you a little more about what your business is all about and let you know more about my process, timelines...etc.

Q2. How long will it take you to complete my brand and website?

There are a couple of factors that will affect the timeline of your project. Mostly, client response time and what the project is covering. A typical brand and web package takes about 12-14 weeks to complete. If there are additional marketing pieces, other collaborators like copywriters, photographers, or developers, or project scope is more than what's listed above, the timeline will be longer.

Q3. Do you have payment plans?

I work on payment plans, yes! For brand and web projects, you'll be invoiced 50% when signing on, 25% when we finish the branding process and the remaining 25% will be invoiced at a set date towards the end of the project.

Q4. What if I need more than 7 web pages?

All good! When we hop on a consultation call we'll go over exactly what's needed during your project. This package is a great starting point, but often clients will need some additional support. After our call, I'll send over an estimate for anything beyond the regular scope.

If anything comes up during the project as an add-on (or something we hadn't initially thought about including), we can always adjust the scope and timeline as needed.

Q5. Can you design just a website for me?

From time to time I do work with clients solely on their websites. However, with any project I take on there will be some element of brand work involved.

Feel free to get in touch with me and we'll figure out the best approach.

Q6. Do you have business hours?

I do like to keep a structured schedule so that I’m respecting my client’s time and also carving out time for myself. I work a standard work week and you can expect to reach me from Monday to Friday between 10am and 5pm EST. If you’ve emailed during the evenings, weekends or holidays, you can expect a response during the next business day.

Q7. How soon can we start my project?

This depends on a few different things. I limit my client intake per month to ensure I can pay the proper amount of attention to each project. After requesting your project, we’ll go over a timeline together and determine how soon we can start your project. If you’re requesting your project and have a particular deadline or time frame, please include that in the details of your message!

Q8. What do you need from me during the process?

This project is more of a partnership than a one person job. Yes, I’m the one that will be creating the final results and helping you solve your problems creatively. But I will need some input from you along the way.

At the start of each project, we’ll have an initial consultation to go over the details. Here I’ll explain exactly what I’ll need from you depending on the project. Please expect to have things like content for websites or branding material ready to go. That means ALL copy (the text of your project), ALL imagery or any other piece of material you wish to include. If you aren’t ready with your materials yet, the deadlines will be delayed and we will postpone your project.

I’ll also need your prompt feedback and responses during the process. In order to stay on track, I’ll need any approvals and refinements to be completed as quickly as possible.

Failure to provide the content or feedback by the agreed upon deadlines could result in rescheduling the project.

Q9. What platforms do you use for web design?

I primarily design and develop on Squarespace and as a Squarespace Circle member I am able to offer my clients 20% off the annual subscription fees along with extended trial periods so that you aren't paying for a website until we launch. All of my Squarespace websites are customized with coding.

I also do web design for Wordpress and Shopify and bring on a developer to implement a responsive, custom website for clients choosing these platforms. Please note this option will add to the investment as we need to cover developer fees and may also add to the overall timeline, depending on developer availability.
