2018 Year in Review
I’m still not exactly sure where 2018 went… but word on the street is that it’s almost over. And with that, we wanted to take some time here at Function HQ to share our 2018 highs, lows, and showcase some of our amazing clients all over the globe.
Our Favourite Moments:
Finally asking for, and getting some amazing help added to the Function Team
Finishing up my studio space with this DIY barn door that I’m in love with
Hitting our nice-to-have goals for the year when it comes to projects, revenue and growth
A successful launch and year with The Brand Planner
Attending, sponsoring, live-painting, and hosting a workshop at The Imperfect Bosses Camp
Launching the first version of the Function Design School with some really amazing ladies
Got hitched with just our families by our sides!
Working with over 25 inspiring, amazing clients - not one of them doesn’t fit that bill
Planning an in-person retreat with business-bestie Devan Danielle for early 2019!
Our Least Favourite Moments:
Holding off on the second round of the Function Design School to sort out a better format for future students. After a couple different surveys to our designer community, it looks like self-paced courses are preferred, so we’re working on figuring out the next steps for the program in 2019.
Working myself in to a bit of burnout this past Fall. Long story short, when you take on too many clients at once, sure you can get your work done and be proud of it, but you won’t have time to enjoy the ride. Burnout was real. Rest was necessary.
Our Client Highlight Reel:
We got to work with some truly inspiring and amazing clients this past year, including:
An amazing company who makes organic hygiene products for women
A handmade candle + self-care company based out of New Jersey
A sustainable, eco-friendly company developing a line of activewear products made from recycled ocean plastic…SO. COOL.
A hair transplantation surgeon
Some really empowering coaches focused on women in business, health and wellness, millennials, executives and professionals, and financial freedom
An interior design studio
An architecture studio based in San Fransisco
A whole lot of others we love, support and appreciate!
2018 was full of hard work, ups, downs, and we couldn’t be more proud of what accomplished alongside our clients. We can’t wait to see what 2019 has in store for us!
