The Challenge
Creating a Compassionate Brand for Mental Wellness
The challenge was to craft a brand identity and experience so authentic and compelling that it could capture the attention of someone like Keanu Reeves—known for his thoughtfulness, integrity, and cultural resonance. This aspirational goal pushed us to balance innovation, trust, and relatability in every element of the brand.
We needed to build a brand that broke free from typical wellness visuals. We wanted to create something bolder, bigger and event slightly disruptive to the industry.

Function began with a discovery phase, conducting audience surveys to understand the needs, values, and aspirations of Unbutton’s target audience.
The brand incorporated a blend of mystery, boldness and illustrative lines representing mental health journeys. Packaging for their magneium supplement was crafted to feel premium yet accessible, emphasizing clarity and efficacy. Finally, we designed a “coming soon” landing page to build excitement and capture interest ahead of the product launch, ensuring a strong introduction to the market.
